The intern will cover a wide range of news topics, from breaking news and crime to features.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about local news and issues and will have previous experience either in internships or staff positions at other media organizations. This internship is an excellent opportunity to strengthen writing and news judgement skills.

The job starts roughly mid-September (date negotiable) and runs to mid-December (date negotiable). Pay is $10.25 an hour. The hours typically are Sunday-Thursday in the afternoons and evenings (exact hours negotiable). This is a demanding fulltime position and our interns typically take a very light course load for the duration of the internship.
