REPORTER NEEDED - HELP US TELL THE LOCAL STORIES! Wilsonville Spokesman & West Linn Tidings
Do you have a true passion for community journalism? For telling stories that entertain, inform and shine a light on the people, places, events (and sometimes animals, too!).
The Wilsonville Spokesman and West Linn Tidings is looking for a part-time, temporary reporter to cover a wide-variety stories but with heavy emphasis on features. Your work will not only grace our newspaper pages and websites, but it also might be shared regularly with our 23 sister newspapers of the Pamplin Media Group that serve the entire Portland metro area.
Applicants should have: some reporting and news writing experience; a working knowledge of AP style, grammar and spelling rules; an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment and under deadline pressure.
But most importantly, we're looking for a writer who believes -- as we do -- that everyone has a story to tell if you're just willing to listen, and that the best way to find those stories is to engage as deeply as possible in the community you cover.
