Position Overview

Quinn Thomas Public Affairs is seeking a public relations/public affairs professional to support a diverse roster of client accounts. Candidates must show initiative, an entrepreneurial spirit, a positive attitude, and the ability to solve problems. Excellent oral and written communications skills are critical. The ideal candidates will thrive in a small, growing firm.

Candidates for the Account Coordinator position must have a bachelor’s degree and should have experience in public affairs or public relations.


Handle media relations in support of client objectives – news release development and distribution, call downs, media kit development, monitoring and reporting, and social media management

Manage schedules and materials development for client meetings

Stakeholder engagement, support, and deployment in pursuit of client


Ability to see the “big picture” of an integrated team and execute deliverables

under real-­‐time demands

Assist with the development and production of business and client proposals

and presentations

Assisting on a wide range of projects

Some local and regional travel required throughout the year


Some experience in public affairs and/or public relations required

Demonstrated ability to recruit and engage stakeholder groups and

individuals around public policy issues

Ability to meet client expectations and deadlines while maintaining careful

attention to detail and ensuring quality

Strong writing ability

Must work well within a small, high-­‐performing team environment

Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Quinn Thomas’s core values, code of

ethics and business conduct

Quinn Thomas Public Affairs is a regional strategic communications firm based in Portland, Oregon. Since 2009, Quinn Thomas has specialized in building and executing public affairs and public relations campaigns to advance business and policy objectives. The firm manages a combination of public relations, public affairs, and political communications campaigns. Quinn Thomas focuses on designing issue campaigns for national and regional corporations, trade groups, non-­‐profits, and public agencies.
