You will be selling advertising airing locally on 72 cable TV networks such as HGTV, ESPN, CNN, History Channel, Fox News Channel, Pac12 Networks and advertising on a wide variety of leading Online platforms- including Online video, banner, display, search and more. The cable TV advertising you sell will be seen in Walking Dead, Monday Night Football, Conan, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Real Housewives, UO & OSU Football and Basketball, Top Chef, House Hunters, NBA Basketball, Sons of Anarchy, The Daily Show and hundreds more shows you probably enjoy watching yourself.
FiOS from Frontier cable viewers are primarily located in Washington County, a very wealthy and prosperous area that is home to world headquarters for Nike and Intel. Viamedia’s office is in Beaverton,OR.
We are seeking an Account Executive to assist and sell local advertisers on a variety of advertising platforms. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate should be detail oriented with strong organizational skills. The expectations of this position are to focus on selling advertising across a cross platform media mix, including both television and online, while maintaining a professional image and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
Candidate will be responsible for client relationships, driving advertising sales in Portland and Washington County, working closely with production teams on client creative, strategic thinking and analytical skills. Task management and execution are also very important and include information collection, analysis and communication with internal teams and clients.

Responsible for selling commercial time on local avails on 72 cable networks, Online products, and other new products as they are developed while maintaining a professional image and obtaining customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Solicits customers through telephone and in person presentations.
Identifies demographic advertising needs.
Creates and proposes advertising recommendations that best suit customer needs.
Prepares accurate advertising contracts on behalf of the company.
Submits all advertising contracts and schedules to the Sales Manager for approval.
Prepares various reports as required.
Completes all sales related paperwork including reports, traffic, credit applications, etc.
Coordinates and assists with production plans, when necessary, assists in coordination of external production.
Adheres to all office policies, including recommended rates and packages.
Attends and completes all aspects of sales training programs.
Adheres to collection procedures including processing of client contracts and confirmations.
Assists with special projects that may be assigned.
Stays abreast of competitive conditions.
Is actively involved in community activities and charities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.
One to three years cable, broadcast (or other media) direct sales experience. Or demonstrated history of achievement in college or the years quickly following college.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient with computer software and technology.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Good working knowledge of marketing research.
Must be willing and able to travel.
