Account Supervisor, Earned Media

CMD’s award-winning earned media team seeks an account supervisor with expertise in high-tech B2B marketing to lead strategy and projects for top-10 brands at the national and international levels. Our account supervisors create integrated engagement

programs from the ground up, drive projects with the support of the integrated teams at CMD and measure

• Strategic planning, following CMD’s planning standard

• Editorial calendar planning and management

• Editorial writing in multiple formats, including articles, blogs and social content

• Plan and supervise video and photography production

• Lead new business efforts for the media team and as part of integrated brand teams

• Manage project teams and implement campaigns across a wide range of media platforms

• Interface with clients, manage budgets, timelines and third-party vendor relationships, as necessary

• Report on client initiatives, provide detailed analysis and recommendations

• Work with other CMD groups synergistically to complete client projects and initiatives on time and on budget

• Share and train team members on best practices and tools

• Travel as necessary for client and new business

• Miscellaneous tasks as requested


• Think smart, live curiously, work collaboratively and act passionately

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university

• A minimum of seven years of relevant, professional work experience in an agency environment

• Passion for brand storytelling: demonstrated ability to write and plan content from a news/editorial perspective and manage a robust editorial calendar

• Experience in community building, forum management and other social media-related disciplines

• Willingness to innovate and problem solve; enthusiasm about ongoing training and education

• Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality work for multiple projects across several client engagements while meeting deadlines

• Some programming background and a familiarity with community platforms, as well as social analytics tools such as Sysomos and Sprinklr, a plus

• Demonstrated experience running large engagements with Fortune 500 clients or equivalent

• Experience providing strategic counsel and building positive, productive relationships directly with clients

• Ability to define solutions that will generate measurable results for clients

• Excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills

• Consistently operate within CMD’s values and cultural style

• Strong editorial writing skills and content management knowledge

• Willingness to innovate and problem solve

• Enthusiasm for ongoing training and education
