Addicted to Quack, SB Nation’s Oregon blog and fan community, is looking for a Eugene Correspondent. The primary duties of this position are to cover UO Athletic Department media functions, including media availability sessions, press conferences, and contests in multiple sports utilizing our press credentials. The Eugene correspondent will be responsible for using information gathered at events to publish original content for publish on ATQ in conjunction with the site’s managing editors.
We are searching someone who is an Oregon fan, but with a journalistic eye that can write with the voice of a fan while still able think about sports objectively. Applicants are expected to live in the Eugene-Springfield area, commit multiple days per week to attending events (including during midday), and to conduct oneself with a level of professionalism. It is also expected that the Eugene Correspondent will maintain a presence of discussion in the comments section of the site, as is consistent with the current authors and editors.
There is no monetary compensation for the position at this time. However, we offer a generous amount of editorial freedom, as well as an excellent opportunity to build a portfolio on one of the web’s fastest growing sports media organizations.
