Advertising Operations Manager

The advertising operations manager will be part of a team responsible for implementing digital advertising campaigns. The person in this role will collaborate with the company’s editorial, creative and development teams. Working with multiple internal teams, daily responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and optimize online ad campaigns, working with sponsors and agencies to receive assets for campaign launches

Manage ad performance, quality assurance and reporting for advertising on the site and in emails

Work with team members, clients and partners to troubleshoot technical issues

Ability to provide consultative input to management regarding performance, suggesting optimal solutions troubleshooting is required

Test all third-party media before launch to ensure that assets run successfully on all Texas Tribune properties

Work with the sales team to monitor and optimize campaign delivery and performance

Support sales team with general day-to-day traffic inquiries and RFPs

Execute and support the digital elements of all events and Texas Tribune Festival sponsorships

Build and upload Texas Tribune events pre-rolls

Handle all sponsored content for paid placement posts on TribTalk

Keep up to date on latest industry developments and trends in ad-serving, tagging and digital advertising


BA/BS preferred with strong academic record

Previous knowledge in client services, ad operations and serving solutions a plus, especially DFP(Doubleclick for Publishers)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating many demands and requests with strong problem-solvingdrive

Smart and proactive learner with organizational agility and strong attention to detail

Willingness and ability to learn and do whatever is needed to see a project through to completion

Basic proficiency in HTML and content management systems is required

Strong Excel skills are preferred
