Audio Editing Intern

Eugene Public Works Story Catchers

The City of Eugene is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. One of the ways we're celebrating is through a project called Story Catchers. Several community members are collaborating with the City of Eugene on this oral history project. The goal is to interview as many as 150 people over the next several months, capturing a wide range of "stories" about Eugene and its cultural history.

We are looking for an intern with media skills who is capable of downloading recordings 20-40 minutes in length, editing them down to 3-7 minute clips, and exporting and uploading them to the city's website.  The intern should be able to determine which segments to include based on high-lighted recording log sheets, and should have basic familiarity with digital audio formats and software.

The project is under way, and the need for an editing assistant is fairly immediate. If you are ready, willing and able to help with this project, please contact Eric Jones, Public Affairs Manager at Eugene Public Works at and he will refer you  to the community members who are coordinating the project. If you need additional information, please feel free to e-mail.
