Blogging Intern


Job Description

We are currently seeking blogging interns who are interested in sharing their college experience through writing articles for our site.

Interns should be willing to write about topics such as: planning for college, preparing for standardized exams, selecting a college, applying for college, paying for college, and freshman year of college.

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with a professional blogger to write 2-3 blog posts per week. (Each blog post must be at least 500 words).

Conduct research for blog posts, including reading other blogs, conducting interviews, asking questions on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, etc

Assist with other projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Current college student

English, communications, and journalism majors preferred, but not required

Passion for blogging and writing

Good writer, team player, and technologically savvy

Knowledge of WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Skype is a plus

Minimum 3-month commitment (but longer if you’d like!)


Spring Internship (March 5, 2012 – May 25, 2012)

Summer Internship (June 4, 2012 – August 31, 2012)

Academic credit is not required to apply


Unpaid part-time internship

Work remotely on your own computer

Time commitment is only 5-10 hours per week, unless you have more time than that!

We’re flexible – write the posts whenever you have time during the week

Learn about the blogging culture and a bit about social media from someone knowledgeable!

Upon completion, you can create a portfolio of your published work
