Brand Marketing Internship

This twelve-week summer internship is scheduled to begin in May/June 2017

Coordinates with consumer brand marketing team and departments throughout the organization to ensure branding, marketing and communication initiatives are seamlessly coordinated to deliver optimal business results. Works with various marketing teams to assist them in how they are driving toward fulfillment of marketing plan and those ad hoc requests are met in a timely and responsive manner. Works to measure marketing effectiveness, and develop and produce various marketing reports to key internal customers.

Essential Function:

Supports the daily management of brand communications and marketing campaigns

Monitors and reports on how the marketing activities are delivering against predefined metrics and adjust plans as needed throughout the year

Assists in creation of marketing deliverables for social media, website, print and other marketing channels.

Supports configuration of marketing databases and marketing automation

Assists in the creation of metrics and status reports; works with clients to adjust marketing plans as necessary throughout the year to accommodate shifts in business strategies and/or shifts in the market or competitive landscape

Duties and Opportunities Include:

Works closely with Marketing Brand Managers, Brand Coordinators and internal stakeholders with marketing-adjacent responsibilities

Supports day-to-day activities for advertising campaigns including review of creative assets, placement and account management.

Coordinates with Creative Services, Events & Sponsorships, Customer Relationship Management and Digital Content teams.

Assists with communication about project/program issues and progress. Works closely with senior management, steering committees, and LOB client contacts to steer the projects and business organization toward achieving the intended business results.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Excellent organizational and writing skills with a proven ability to multi-task and work independently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines

Prior brand management, advertising or marketing experience

Highly Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Desire to participate in creative brainstorming and creative thinking

Knowledge of new and emerging technologies and capabilities (web, mobile, social) a plus

Strong analytic capabilities including prior experience developing reports

Excellent presentation skills including ability to speak with all levels of the organization

Minimum of junior undergraduate standing (graduate students are welcome to apply)

Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline with a scheduled graduation date of March 2017 or later

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
