Communication Specialist


Educational Requirements: Two years college-level course work, Associate’s degree, or 4 years experience in marketing writingMinimum qualifications & experience: Six years of related work experience, four of which are in technical writing, and a high school level education; OR four years of related work experience, two of which are in marketing writing, plus an Associate degree or two years of college-level course workAble to complete tasks with limited supervision and communicate effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with MS Word and the Adobe Creative SuiteDemonstrated marketing, sales, sales support or customer service experienceDemonstrated organizational skills; effective at multitaskingDemonstrated ability with MS Excel, Word, and OutlookThorough – pays close attention to detailAbility to work independentlyAbility to make positive contributions to a team environmentPrimary job duties: Assist in all written materials produced by Air-Weigh including white papers, articles for industry publications, advertising, product manuals and work instructions.Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by othersCollect and organize photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts needed to complete writing assignmentsParticipate in creation and follow standards for layout, order, clarity, conciseness and terminologyReview published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproductionMaintain archives of unreleased drafts of materialsDraw sketches to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence in IllustratorWork within company guidelines, policies and procedures

Secondary duties: Coordinate development of general company marketing materialsPublish press releasesParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesWorks within company guidelines, policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by supervisor
