Communications Specialist - Internal


The successful candidate will be expected to develop and execute communication strategies and plans that appeal to a global audience. This position is responsible for both strategic and tactical elements.    • Create internal communications plans/campaigns to support activities and projects    • Provide communication consulting and expertise on assigned projects    • Develop and execute inventive global messages and tactics that engage a diverse employee base    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels    • Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly in narrow timeframes    • Create and drive major communication deliverables    • Ability to think across multiple platforms of communication    • Integrate change management principles    • Tracks metrics and makes strategic recommendations.    • Ability to find creative solutions when needed    • Flexibility to shift priorities quickly within a fast-paced work environment    • Experience writing and copy-editing content    • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management    • Work both independently and through team collaboration    • Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and deliver against tight deadlines    • Ability to listen, adapt, and incorporate feedback    • Be comfortable shifting direction to accommodate organizational priorities.    • Our customers and audience are global, you will be expected to operate on varied time zones for some projects    • Collaborate with graphic designers, IT, and video production teams to create multi-media communications    • Develop and support new and innovative distribution channels that effectively reach employee audiences         

Experience Required/Preferred (leave blank if included in position description above)    A candidate with strong writing/editing skills and the ability to think strategically will be a great fit for this position:    • The ability to think boldly and strategically but is also responsible for hands-on work    • Be adaptable, professional, and discrete    • Extremely organized and detail oriented    • Self-starter who can lead a project from start to finish    • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills        Education and Other Requirements    • Candidate must possess an undergraduate degree or a graduate degree in Strategic Communications, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related field.    • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.    • Minimum 1-5 years of professional internal communications, corporate communications, and/or marketing communications experience in progressive roles.
