Description:Children’s Cancer Association’s mission is to provide seriously ill children and teens with joy, one moment at a time, when they need more than medicine. CCA has been a national pioneer delivering joy in Oregon and SW Washington through its programs for the last 18 years. We are seeking a part-time Community Outreach and Volunteer Specialist for our program team, 20-25 hours per week. In addition to the Core responsibilities of this position, the ideal candidate must be flexible with their schedule to include an occasional weekend and/or evening event. They would report directly to the Community Outreach and Education Manager. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: •

Schedule and/or conduct phone screens, interviews, orientations, and training •

Place volunteer applicants appropriately •

Coordinate volunteer needs for programs, events, and projects •

Assist in recruiting, on-boarding, and scheduling of office volunteers and CCA interns •

Regularly monitor and update websites that utilize volunteer opportunities •

Process volunteer applications and enter into database; track volunteer hours worked •

Prepare and present reports to program manager regularly •

Provide input regarding volunteer evaluations and recognition activities •

Regularly post and communicate volunteer needs and communicate schedules and duties •

Maintain policies, procedures, training, and standards of volunteer services

Salary commensurate with experience. Wage range $15.00 – $18.00 per hour.
