This twelve-week internship will begin in May/June (some flexibility available)

The Consumer Experience team serves as a primary Voice of the Customer and advocates for the consumer’s needs throughout the organization. The Consumer Experience Intern will be an active member of the team working to promote a consistent consumer-focused experience design process, share relevant consumer insights, deliver and operationalize consumer journey maps, integrate usability testing into the design and development process, as well as design and ensure delivery and analysis of post launch consumer satisfaction and behavior metrics. This role will assist with tasks associated with new product and platform concept and development as well as help to address pain points with existing products and experiences.

The Consumer Experience Intern will be an integral member of the Consumer Experience team and will perform the following duties:

Contribute to high-impact projects that are designed to improve a member’s experience across a full interaction with their doctor/health plan

Conduct research and write reports using multiple sources of data

Coordinate projects to identify the knowledge gaps around consumers and their health and wellness needs and understanding

Communicate with other departments to ensure an effective flow of information to and from the Consumer Experience team

Perform ad hoc research projects related to our consumer platform

Work to assist in rapidly modifying prototypes in response to user testing

Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities:

Strong consumer focus with experience focused on consumer experience and communication

Interest in and/or experience with rapid prototyping

Prior product development experience a plus

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program focused on Anthropology, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Human Centered Design, Psychology, Sociology, User Experience or a related degree program

Candidates who have completed their degree program in the last six months are also encouraged to apply

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the work force

Excellent analytical problem solving and critical thinking/creative research skills

Ability to participate in a team atmosphere to achieve department goals and objectives consistent with corporate vision and strategies

Ability to multi-task, deal proactively with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a deadline driven fast paced environment

Ability to transform disparate pieces of information into an understandable framework in graphics form or actionable recommendations

Some enrollment in design research, design thinking, entrepreneurship, product development or user experience coursework a must

Knowledge of creative and/or tools, including Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Prior coding experience a plus

Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
