Creative Studio Internship

This twelve-week summer internship is scheduled to begin in May/June 2017

The Cambia Creative Studio is looking for a talented, motivated and self-sufficient design intern to bring their best work and ideas to our multi-talented team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced creative studio, touching a variety of projects—from print to digital—for numerous health care-related brands.

The creative studio intern will assist our existing team in developing both internal- and external-facing deliverables: digital/interactive apps, environmental or experiential design comps, traditional print and branded materials, illustration and infographics. This is a great opportunity for professional growth, as well as to develop and hone a variety of creative skills. Our 12-week internship has a flexible start date of May/June, 2017 and may extend into additional opportunities if the fit is right.

Our team works collaboratively with many others across the company to produce the best creative solutions for the right audience—from writing, design, illustration, UI/UX, video to animation. This year, our efforts are focused on digital exploration and competencies, which means your UX and UI abilities will be enthusiastically received.

Essential Functions:

Collaborate with the creative studio team to support the daily management of our projects

Assist in the production of print, UX/UI, and/or digital design, creative concepts, copywriting and video

Consult and problem solve with internal and external colleagues

Assist team members on successfully completing projects—on time and on budget

Articulate your design thinking, know how to critique design work

UX/UI experience will be a big


Key Qualifications and Experience:

Currently pursuing a degree in art, graphic design, communications, marketing or a related discipline (candidates who have completed their degree in the last six months are also encouraged to apply)

Minimum of junior undergraduate standing (graduate students are also welcome to apply)

Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate G.P.A.

Excellent organizational and writing skills

A proven ability to work independently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software and Sketch

Highly proficient in MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to speak to people at all levels of an organization

Examples of prior work assembled in a portfolio (candidates will be asked to provide additional documentation during the application process)

Understanding of print and digital production methods preferred, but not required

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
