Digital Content Production Assistant

UO AEI Program


The Digital Content Production Assistant for the American English Institute (AEI) Marketing Department will be charged with inspiring, developing, and moderating promotional communications via the AEI’s media channels (email, social media, website, etc.). This position will serve as a conduit for communication between AEI staff and students and will be responsible for producing written content for social media campaigns, email marketing campaigns, and a variety of website content.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:                                                                 

Author original written content for digital communications that creatively communicate AEI programs and services to prospective and current students.

Interview staff, faculty, and students to gather necessary information.

Oversee AEI social media channels to make them informative, relevant, and current for prospective and current students.

Creatively and proactively assist social media followers in their requests for information.

Identify, analyze issues, patterns, and trends in requests for information.

Monitor media channels on a daily basis or as needed for content issues.

Provide tracking and metrics to communicate activity to stakeholders.

Assist in coordinating special events as necessary.


Desire and ability to work independently towards a common goal.

Excellent writing skills and the ability to create editorial writing output quickly.

Demonstrated creativity in authoring original written materials.

Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.

Understanding of the social media universe including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instragram, Wikis, blogs, etc.

Part-time 15-20 hr/wk

Starts at $11.50/hr
