Digital Project and Operations Manager

EdSurge, the leading source for edtech news, research and events, is looking for a Digital Project and Operations Manager to lead content projects and play a pivotal role in the growth of our Sponsored Content business. We’re seeking someone who has a diverse set of experiences across content creation, digital marketing, and operations. This person should enjoy interacting with customers but also gets satisfaction from digging into data and understanding how content and campaigns are performing. Ideally this person is passionate about education and has a deep understanding of EdSurge’s diverse audience of educators and edtech companies. The team is small, which means this role is for someone who likes to take initiative and responsibility. In this job you will: 
   - Create, edit, and publish content across a diversity of mediums including articles, infographics, webinars, and video 
   - Develop campaigns and accompanying assets to support the diffusion of EdSurge content across a variety of digital marketing channels 
   - Own the EdSurge webinar program including programming, marketing, and analyzing performance 
   - Pitch creative content marketing campaigns to companies trying to reach edtech buyers and users 
   - Track, analyze and communicate campaign performance data to share internally and with sponsors as well as inform future campaigns 
   - Become proficient with our CMS and marketing tools to format, publish and amplify content 
   - Find ways to improve existing products and develop new sponsored content products with a cross-functional team 
   - Work closely with and support the Director of Sponsored Content to manage internal and external resources and execute campaigns 
   - Work cross-functionally with many of the teams at EdSurge including marketing, sales, and product 
   - Be an integral part of an ambitious, fun and close-knit team within a mission-driven start-up 
   - You have 3-5 years of professional experience working on content teams in a media organization or in a marketing function 
   - You have digital marketing skills including an understanding of how to craft effective campaigns 
   - You have experience managing and owning projects from start to finish with minimal guidance - that includes scoping projects, problem solving, and finding creative solutions 
   - You are comfortable with data and dashboards and likely have a favorite excel formula 
   - You have worked in and enjoy customer-facing roles 
   - You are knowledgeable and passionate about the education and edtech market 
   - You have strong written and communication skills 
   - You are able to move at a fast pace and change course when necessary! 
   - You love working collaboratively with others
