Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to manage all the University of Oregon football videotaping activities. Responsible for the oversight of daily video needs of football program including practice and game day competition. Responsible for procurement, installation, maintenance, control, issuance, storage and security, taping and editing of all football events, and ensuring that tapes are processed promptly. Serve as lead liaison between the video department and all other sports to provide technical support when needed. Manage the budget for the video office.

Supervises 1 full time classified worker (1.0 FTE). Hires, supervises, trains, disciplines, delegates and terminates when necessary.

Supervises 7-8 student workers (total of 2.5-3.0 FTE combined). Hires, supervises, trains, disciplines, delegates and terminates when necessary. 

Report to the Associate Athletic Director & Director of Football Operations for any audio/visual, video or other technical needs for the football program.

Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.

Minimum Requirements• Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications or related field.• Two years’ experience in video production in a Football Bowl Subdivision program.• Supervisory experience

Professional Competencies• Knowledge of nonlinear editing techniques and equipment.• Creative and innovative• Forward-thinking with concepts to remain ahead of video trends.• Firm pulse on audience demographic.• Thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.• Ability to work on both PC and Mac platforms• Exceptional ability to work in a networked way, emphasizing collaboration in a complex environment.• Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse population. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and respond to immediate needs while managing day-to-day activities.

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Dartfish and XOS Director, Sportstation, and Thunder.• Experience in either game analysis or video breakdown.
