Through powerful storytelling and photography, each issue inspires curious readers with stories that show the transformative power of travel. Go beyond the usual tourist fare for authentic experiences—many from a local’s point of view—with expert advice and tips for travel that is sustainable and smart.


--Assist with the development and publication of content for Traveler, the print title

--Study travel trends and travel news to suggest topics for editorial coverage

-- Identify social media trends and opportunities to grow National Geographic Travel's global footprint on social media platforms. 

-- Perform market research on travel and digital trends, and identifying opportunities for digital and print storytelling. 

-- Analyze digital data, and reporting site and social analytics.  

-- Fact check and copyedit content for multiple platforms. 

--Write blurbs for editorial pages (such as Editor's Note, Contents, Further Opener, and Nice Shot)

--Curate call-outs to be featured in the masthead

--Help fact-check articles

--Write photo captions 

--Participate in brainstorm meetings for front-of-the-book and feature content

--Field and organize freelancer pitches 

--Request products for photo shoots

--Assist digital team with tasks as needed

--Track travel trends and up-and-coming destinations



To participate in Fox’s Internship program you must meet the following criteria:

•             Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above

•             Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.

•             All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
