Internal Communications Experiential Volunteer

OHSU’s internal communications team has an opening for an experiential volunteer for an 8-12 week assignment this summer. The volunteer will have the opportunity to gain experience developing communications plans, writing and publishing written and visual communications and managing projects. Working under the close supervision of the internal communications team staff, this role will be in charge of a key employee communications project and development of portfolio-building communications. The experiential volunteer will learn internal communications best practices and gain experience communicating in a complex academic health center environment.     This position is unpaid but will include a wealth of knowledge and relationship building. Can be used for school credit.     

Experience Required/PreferredPotential candidates should have an interest in and a basic understanding of communications, branding and office software. Knowledge of design software, AP Style and Microsoft products is preferred. 

Must be dependable with a desire to work hard, learn and develop new skills and relationships.
