Prichard Communications, a full-service public relations firm in downtown Portland, is seeking a marketing and media savvy candidate for an internship at Mac's List, our Portland jobs service.

This is a part-time, unpaid position with the possibility for school-credit. Candidates should be either enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate program in communications, business, marketing or a similar field. This position requires about 18 hours/ week. Must be able to work on Tuesdays as we publish the newsletter that day. Preferably, the start date would be August 20th so that they could train under the current intern, however we are flexible for the right person.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Compile Mac's List weekly e-newsletter every Tuesday at 2pm. -Update and monitor social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube using Hootsuite -Help to manage our Salesforce database and update our client list -Create a weekly blog post compiling all the new jobs for the week -Create advertising materials including brochures, slides and one-pagers -Send out emails to advertisers including Google Analytics metrics -Research competitors -Assist in increasing sales as needed -Light administrative work as needed

Qualifications: -Proven editing and writing skills -Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines -Experience with Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn preferably in a professional capacity -Strong people skills -PR/Marketing background or coursework -Knowledge of AP style guide

Supervision: This position will be managed and will work closely with our Editor and Sales Director, Jessica Williams.
