The PSU Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a nationally accredited health care facility that offers medical health, mental health, dental health, health promotion and education, and academic testing services to the students of Portland State University. Position Summary:The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for publications, correspondence, and notifications to the Portland State community regarding health-related information; maintaining website content and structure; coordinating SHAC promotional events and university orientations; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:-BS or BA in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications-At least two years experience in marketing, advertising, or communications field

Preferred Qualifications:-MA or MS in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications-Proficient using content management systems, preferably Drupal-Experience in health-related fields and/or health insurance industry

Job Duties:-Maintain all SHAC printed material, making sure all information is up to date, standardized, and accurate. Responsible for publications, correspondence, and notifications to the Portland State community regarding health-related information. -Maintain SHAC websites for six sub-departments, with adherence to accessibility guidelines as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.-Meet with SHAC leadership and staff to collaborate on the marketing and communication needs of individual SHAC departments and departmental groups. -Meet with external departments and groups on campus to work collaboratively on various campus initiatives.-Meet weekly with SHAC Executive Director and SHAC Associate Director. Meet monthly with the SHAC leadership team and attend departmental staff meetings.-Maintain inventory control and manage budget for marketing and promotional items.

Work Days/Hours:M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm, occasional evenings/weekends 

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be dependent upon qualifications and experience with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
