Direction Service is a local nonprofit serving youth with disabilities, and their families, in Lane County Oregon. The Marketing and Communications internship will include the following duties:
Evaluation and development of marketing and communications strategy.
Event promotion and materials.
Complete projects related to implementation of marketing & communications strategy.
Develop marketing & promotional materials.
Develop content and copy for website, social media, newsletter, and e-mail distribution.
Monitor, create content, and assist in management of Direction Service social media.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
This position will be supervised by program staff with weekly supervision in addition to work sessions with the CEO and Assistant to the CEO. The position will provide 5 to 10 hours of experience per week with some ability to complete work off-site depending on projects. Direction Service hours are 8am to 4:30pm. The position will require at least one scheduled shift in the office per week.
Social media content creation and management.
Ability to keep confidential information secure.
Relevant marketing and/or communications undergraduate class experience.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
