The Purpose of the Marketing Assistant at Mountain Valley Therapy

To actively promote Mountain Valley Therapy and Mountain Valley Fitness & Health and Integrative Therapy’s clinical and wellness experiences in order to increase the number of leads directed into the companies.

 

Job Description of a Marketing Assistant 

A Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Department by carrying out the daily tasks to keep the department functioning and facilitate the duties of the Marketing Director, and other department Directors as needed. The Marketing Assistant position ensures the Department's effectiveness by providing relevant information; answering questions and concerns and providing administrative support.

The Marketing Assistant connects with all departments regarding any marketing, Public Relations, or advertising efforts, and keeps all departments informed of current and upcoming events, promotions, specials, or otherwise. The Marketing Department is required to research, plan, and create all Marketing, Public Relations, event planning, and advertising efforts.

This position reports directly to the Marketing Director, who will oversee Marketing Assistant's work.

Our ideal candidate will be open-minded; a self-starter who can be proactive, with excellent time management skills; must be able to multi-task and must be goal-oriented. Flexibility in scheduling is a must!

Qualifications and training required

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited Business or Journalism program, or other applicable field of study at a four–year university, or equivalent work experience

Advanced skill levels in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite

Proficient use, and creation, of online Social Media presence, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, You Tube, Yelp, Pinterest and Foursquare.

Proficient use of web-based platforms including, but not limited to, Google Applications and WordPress.

Advance written and verbal communication skills, as well as conflict resolution skills.

Consistent professional demeanor, particularly when in an office setting

Qualifications and training, preferred, but not required

Completion of one or more applicable internships

Background, or understanding of, the Health Care Industry

Marketing Assistant Essential Functions

Support marketing operations by compiling, formatting, and reporting information and materials.

Works closely with employees in other departments

Track pertinent statistics (i.e. social media metrics; website traffic; weekly patient referrals; active Fitness members and referral sources for all three businesses.

Responsible for creating and maintaining all Social Media accounts

High levels of communication, proactivity, organization, and planning at all times.

Writing reports, creating company brochures and similar documents.

Organizing and hosting presentations.

Planning and facilitating all aspects of promotional activities.

Visiting vendors and external agencies, and maintaining those professional relationships.

Assist with daily operation of the marketing group, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.

Reporting regularly to Marketing Director and Treasury Director on fiscal status.

Is responsible for the staffing of community and promotional events.

Responsible for managing inventory or promotional materials
