Position Summary:

We’re looking to hire a talented, self-motivated individual for a full-time summer internship that will support the marketing communications team to deliver on the needs of the brand. This position works collaboratively across the marketing department to provide support in social media, advertising/digital marketing, PR, cause marketing, consumer insights, and general administration.  

By the end of the internship you will:

Have a solid understanding of consumer-driven CPG marketing

Know how to use marketing research to assess consumer needs

Learn to bring to life Annie’s brand voice & positioning, acting as a consumer ambassador for the brand

Help create on-brand content to help Annie’s reach new consumers

Confidently present recommendations in team settings

Key Responsibilities: 

Advertising and Digital Marketing Support 

Assist with creation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns 

Proofread communication materials

Edit digital content & information on 

Assist in tracking program results and periodic reporting 

Understand and identify trends 

Social Media Support

Assist with copywriting, content development and execution

Assist with photo shoots

Assist with organizing all content on portal

Help organize content calendar

Assist with sweepstakes & contest fulfillment

Assist with production & editing of short videos

Research best practices and platforms in social media  

Influencer & PR Program Support

Help research and source bloggers to partner with Annie’s

Assist with email and content calendars

Assemble custom mailers

Ideate potential PR news hooks

Provide weekly alerts on breaking category news (industry, competition and trends) 


Consumer Insights

Design and execute consumer research studies to answer business questions

Review research results and make recommendations for the team


Administrative Support 

Assist in shipping and fulfillment of marketing materials, including Consumer Relations team

Assist in creation of PowerPoint presentations 

Assist with cause marketing program donations and sponsorship


The ideal candidate is creative, has a good sense of humor, and has a keen interest in marketing for a values driven organization and possesses the basic knowledge of marketing principles through coursework or prior work experience. 

Rising Junior or Senior that is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 

Excellent attention to details with strong organizational skills 

Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through and task completion 

Strong oral and written communications skills – writing samples may be requested

Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams 

Problem solver; able to work independently to produce quality results 

Thrives in fast-paced environment 

Curious to learn from and engage with consumers

Interest in natural and organic food industry

Innate social media user (if you blog, send us the link!)

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 

Demonstrated experience with at least one product in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, etc.)

Some experience with content management systems like WordPress

Basic HTML skills a plus!
