Marketing Specialist (Digital PR & Social Media)


Adpearance is looking for a highly creative individual to join our team as a Marketing Specialist! The perfect candidate will possess a love for words and strong attention to detail, especially in the face of an energetic yet frenzied workplace that is fueled by tight deadlines and lofty client expectations. This position will require great flexibility and willingness to assist a team of fellow marketers and account directors in delivering all company services and products.

The Marketing Specialist will support account teams on fundamental daily activities including: media list building, creating materials/reports for meetings, building editorial calendars, pitching to media, and of course, engaging with fans on various social media platforms. Other activities will include keyword research, helping to manage media and information databases, and compiling press coverage. This role requires ease with a wide range of interactive practices, concepts, and platforms, but a good sense of following directions will do.

Qualifications Required

Strong academic background (B.A. or B.S. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar degree)

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to think analytically and creatively

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Qualifications Preferred

Experience with Google Analytics or other Web analytics platforms

Experience with top social media platforms for businesses, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, etc.

Basic understanding of html, Web architecture, coding, etc.

Cision and PRWeb/Vocus knowledge is helpful, but not required
