Media Assistant

Prefontaine Classic

The Prefontaine Classic is looking for two students to serve as Media Assistants for the 2012 version America's most prestigious professional track meet. The Media Assistants will work with the Prefontaine Classic Press Chief in the management, organization and guidance of the more than 100 reporters and photographers who come from around the world.

One of the Media Assistants will work primarily with the photographers during the meet, so previous photo experience would be ideal. The other Media Assistant will help with the credentialing process at the Press Conference and serve as the primary contact in the Media Tribune area at Hayward Field during the meet. Previous athletic media relations experience is a plus, but not necessary.

The 2012 Prefontaine Classic will take place Friday, June 1st and Saturday, June 2nd and the Media Assistants will need to be available both days. There may be additional meetings and tasks that will take place in the weeks leading up to the event.

Positions are unpaid.
