News Internship

Universal City

CNBC, the world's leading business news channel, is offering summer internships at its Los Angeles Bureau. The program allows students to gain practical, hands-on experience in a busy newsroom. They learn about broadcast journalism, production, technology, editing, script writing, research, news gathering, business, and much more. The internships are located in Universal City, CA. Students are encouraged to apply early for the summer term, which runs from June to August 2010. These are unpaid internship positions, and students must receive academic credit from their college or university for the experience. Internships are filled on a "first-come, first-served basis." At least two positions are available this summer. Interns are required to work a minimum of two days a week. Interns should have excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to work as part of a team, and a demonstrated interest in broadcast journalism and business. They should be motivated self-starters with basic computer knowledge. JEFF DANIELS CNBC Producer & Internship Coordinator-Los Angeles Bureau
