The Woodburn Independent is seeking a general news reporter adept at coverage of spot news as well as in-depth enterprise journalism. This position covers city and county government, crime/court, education and business. We need someone who loves to chase down leads to break news, is versed in digital media, with photography and layout experience. A bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications and an understanding of AP style is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish would be helpful but not required.
