FilmStruck offers instant streaming access to critically acclaimed films, hard-to-find gems, and cult favorites from the world’s greatest independent film libraries. FilmStruck was created by the movie lovers at Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and The Criterion Collection, giving you access to some of the world’s greatest films, shown uncut and commercial-free, just as the director intended.

What part will you play?   The FilmStruck Social Media Manager will research emerging social marketing platforms, trends and best practices; prepare both high-level strategy and actionable planning documentation for individual campaigns; execute paid and organic campaigns across all relevant platforms, perform real-time campaign analysis, and post-campaign analysis to refine strategy and content over time. Additionally, this person will oversee and communicate with FilmStruck's multi-platform social communities. What will you be doing?   Grow FilmStruck brand and subscriptions through the reach and effectiveness of social marketing:

Develop social strategies for short and long-term brand and subscription growth taking into account the platform, subscribers, prospects, and competitive landscape

Develop, manage and optimize the paid social media strategy for FilmStruck

Continually research new social platforms and emerging tools to create innovative, newsworthy and high-engagement content

Analyze data to establish KPIs and evolve strategy

Create individual segmentation and campaign strategy and execution documentation for priority initiatives

Produce high-quality, sharable content for all relevant social platforms on an ongoing basis

Deliver post-campaign analytics with existing tools and resources to communicate data trends and propose strategic refinements

 Effectively manage social resources and environments:

Spur discussion within the FilmStruck social community to encourage streaming service subscription and fan retention

Identify and form relationships with social influencers

Coordinate live tweet events and other social stunts at film festivals and activations

Manage on-the-ground coordination and social stream monitoring of social efforts at brand events

Find, research and recommend external partnerships and agencies to increase capacity and ensure diverse, on-brand approaches to social content

Create strategic plans for utilizing the Social budget, ensuring all expenses for targeted stunts and ongoing support needs are covered, and optimum results are achieved

Schedule content in a social media management platform, per master calendar and evolving FilmStruck priorities

Stay attuned to industry-wide and platform-specific best practices

 What do we require from you?

5-7 years of previous experience in social media production and community management, with a proven track record of positive community interaction.

Experience in scheduling content for multiple platforms through a social media management platform (such as Sprinklr) and utilizing in-platform reporting features.

Knowledge of general and platform-specific social best practices, preferably within the context of the media industry.

Expertise in campaign planning and analytics, with ability to synthesize learnings to formulate, and achieve buy in for, strategy and recommendations.

Management and execution of paid social media campaigns against a set budget.

 Desired Skills:

Experience working brand events and producing real time content a plus

Substantial independent film knowledge

Good general computer

knowledge (MS Office, Excel) and ability to learn new software quickly.

Ability to coordinate with various professionals across multiple departments and levels of seniority
