Photography Intern

Requested hours per week: 10-20 hours, unpaid; College credit available.

We’re looking for passionate photographer who is committed to working with a creative team to create new imagery, edit photographs, help maintain a photo archive, and participate in designing photo templates for social media. This is a hands-on internship. You will be contributing to various initiatives spanning multiple platforms including web video, print, social and experiential.
The role will support the broader mission of the Brand & Marketing Group in a highly-collaborative manner. We are looking for a team player that understands and values the importance our rights based mission and will thrive in an environment with dedicated, like-minded colleagues.

The Intern’s varied responsibilities will include photo editing, culling, assist on photo shoots, help with image search, and other projects as assigned.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Photography, or recent graduate
Passion for photography, design, and social justice work
Prior internship or work experience is a plus
Working knowledge and experience using Canon DSLR cameras.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to create visual narratives and story-telling through image and content
The ability to quickly iterate on the fly, in the heat of sometimes urgent and always changing circumstances in an adaptable and resourceful manner
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that requires juggling multiple activities and prioritize with tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of craftsmanship and precision
Collaborative attitude and sense of teamwork
