We are a content-based, college football preview website that has finished more accurate than the national publications such as ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and Sporting News. We have been accepted as members into the prestigious FWAA, and have developed an interactive Twitter network of about 13,000 fans combined. With two successful seasons under our belt, we are looking to expand our writing staff and find this opportunity appealing to Journalism students.
We are looking for die-hard college football fans who also have a passion for sports writing. While this position is unpaid, we offer young writers the opportunity to be published on an award-winning, FWAA website. Also included is an FWAA (Football Writer’s Association of America) membership and its valuable benefits. Interns will be able to grow their personal brand while contributing to, and representing a respected football website. Interns will essentially become an expert of a football conference and possibly head up our conference-affiliate Twitter accounts. Freshmen and Sophomore candidates are preferred.
This role will require roughly 5 hours a week, as writers will have the opportunity to write a few articles a week. During the football season, the time requirement may increase due to more relevant topics to write about. There will be some assigned articles, but also the freedom to develop free-lance topics to write about.
