Position Summary: PAGATIM is a Portland based creative start up focusing on producing brave authentic podcasts and audiocasts for individuals and Fortune 500 clients.The PR/Event Intern will play a key role in taking our PR strategy to the next level, researching, identifying and connecting PAGATIM to strategic media partners for ongoing and future success. The PR efforts are both local, national and global. Between research, enhancing our current strategy and creating ongoing content, this role is vital to the promotion of this new, young company. Areas of responsibility include research, social media, public relations, and event coordination. This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the management and execution of an editorial calendar - Manage the creation and execution of weekly blog posts - Develop and implement a strategic PR/Communications program to achieve significant increases in brand awareness in the local area - Research to find the best people to develop strong media relationships with - Manage media contacts - Assist with the development of pitches/stories to both national and local media.

Requirements:

-Proven success in both traditional and interactive PR channels -Excellent writing ability with keen understanding of grammar, composition, creative and business writing -A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to both manage and execute programs -Necessary computer skills include- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Experience in identifying and interpreting Key Performance Indicators to optimize site and marketing traffic
