Following is the job description the Education Together Foundation committee created for a public relations intern to work with us during the 2011-12 academic year. 

Goal:  Increase general awareness of the Education Together Foundation in the Junction City community.

Resources: JEMS Public Relations Plan developed in 2010 by Sarah Cargill, Emily Coit, Melissa Myers and Jenna Starkey. At the time the plan was developed they were all seniors at the University of Oregon, majoring in Journalism with an emphasis on Public Relations.  A copy of  the plan is available from Ellie Dumdi.  Her phone number is 541-998-8878. 


Ability to develop materials for target groups, such as:                              --   ads in Junction City's local newspaper, The Tribune News                              --   articles in the local newspaper                              --   a brochure                              --   website

Ability to identify and meet with target groups, such as:                              --   students, parents, high school faculty                              --   current donors                              --   prospective donors

Ability to research grant availability and follow through with the application process

Ability to meet with the ETF committee weekly initially (probably the first month)

Ability to attend monthly board meetings.  They are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 PM in the Junction  City School District Board Room at 525 Maple Street.
