Regional Media Planner


Support senior media planner in the development and execution of strategic and fully integrated media plans for assigned regions/business units, ensuring media plans are built to effectively reflect current media consumption habits. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary department, using data to develop effective media plans that include TV, radio, out-of -home, display, mobile, social, programmatic, video/audio, digital circular distribution, and search. Partner with divisions, marketing, Creative Services, Customer Insights, Loyalty and media buying teams for market input and to identify media opportunities that make best use of media budgets. Essential Job Functions:

Develop multi-channel media plans seeking input from divisions, Regional Marketing, Customer Insights, and Loyalty to align with brand/marketing strategy, integrating customer behavior insights and strategic vision

Collaborate with the Media Buying and Media Insights teams in gathering buying insights and specifications into their respective markets, campaign monitoring, and reviews of media buys and post-buy analyses

Develop and present recommendations, evaluations, POVs and media analyses to relevant stakeholders

Communicate regularly with department leadership to ensure strategy and projects are on track and to gain support and guidance

Seek out and identify consumer, market, industry, and global trends for new ways of connecting with customers and driving engagement

Apply knowledge of competitive set, consumer trends, and business needs, both short and long term

Work with senior media planner to provide budget forecast and actuals to divisions on a period basis

Responsible for the accuracy of media documents, budget, presentations, and written communication to Marketing Services teams, divisions, etc.

Oversee buy parameter, buy goals, and budget process

Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience in Media Planning

Effective oral and written communication skills

Intermediate-level presentation skills

Intermediate-level proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong capability with research and data analysis and industry media planning tools, including Strata/SBMS, Nielsen, and Workhorse/MediaTools

Ability and willingness to communicate, motivate, and develop talent in a positive and respectful manner

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong time-management and organizational skills

Ability to travel independently

Desired Previous Job Experience/ Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or advertising

Proficiency in digital media

Experience in retail

Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus

Experience analyzing data and market research; strong time-management and organizational skills
