About the Role

As senior editor, you will cultivate high editorial standards to deliver high-quality, high-impact content for Wrike. This involves working closely with staff writers, freelance writers, and other marketing team members to produce high-quality, engaging content that attracts, retains and delights our customers as well as help the company achieve bold growth goals.

As an editor, you’ll leave your mark by shaping content that helps managers and their teams become insanely productive and produce exceptional work. Topics we cover include work management, productivity, project management, collaboration, leadership, marketing, and operational excellence. You will be joining a content team that produces articles, thought leadership content, ebooks, case studies, videos, email communications, landing page content, ad copy, and social media posts. You will improve, polish, and copy edit these content marketing assets and other types of content produced by other teams throughout the company.

This role has two main functions: writing coach and copy editor. As a writing coach, you will focus on helping writers strengthen their storytelling, write with a vibrant conversational voice, build authority, and polish their copy. You must also be a detail-oriented copy editor with a sharp eye and a passion for ensuring all content is clear, logical, accurate, grammatically correct, and enjoyable to read. You will help ensure that all content embodies our brand voice that’s authentic, empathetic, knowledgeable, and empowering.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience collaborating with content creators who produce a wide range of B2B assets, from blog posts, thought leadership content, ebooks, case studies, videos, email communications, landing page content, ad copy, and social media posts.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit rough drafts, including line editing and explaining your edits to writers.

  • Coach writers on how to improve their writing and research/interviewing skills.

  • Copy edit articles, PDFs, email copy, landing page copy, product release notes, product UX copy, customer success stories, video captions, powerpoint decks, and more.

  • Quality control: Ensure all content is clear, logical, accurate, grammatical, and enjoyable to read.

  • Write clear, accurate, engaging click-magnet headlines with SEO best practices.

  • Enforce voice and style guidelines. Help develop in-house style guidelines as needed.

About You  

  • Exceptionally sharp editing and writing skills. Able to shape and polish content into compelling, authoritative storytelling with succinct, vibrant copy. Minimum 5 years of editing experience.

  • Track record of working effectively and collaboratively with writers in the editing process. As a writing coach, you should be able to articulate reasons for your edits and help develop writing skills of others.  

  • Detail-oriented and mastery of AP style guide: You have a keen eye for detail, enabling you to spot everything from an errant comma to a mislabeled caption. You must successfully pass a copy editing skills assessment.

  • Possess a strong editorial mindset on creating content that resonates with key audience groups. You should have experience with creating click-magnet content that delivers strong value to readers. (Please send work samples that demonstrate this).

  • Strong headline writing skills that delivers punch and entices people to click.

  • Strong communication and people skills: Ability to be diplomatic and to adapt to diverse personalities and work styles. Must be approachable and eager to attack the work to elevate and polish our content to meet brand voice needs. Strong ability to collaborate with others throughout the company, sometimes across international time zones.

  • Strong time management skills: Ability to shift priorities quickly and meet multiple deadlines throughout the day.

  • Experience with SEO is desired, from the implementation of on-page SEO best practices to creating content around highly-trafficked SEO terms.   

  • Ability to adapt to different types of content management systems. Experience with WordPress is a plus.

  • Experience in B2B content, brand marketing, and project management is a plus
