Help develop and implement public information and outreach efforts, including use of social media, for the ToolBox Project. This internship offers an opportunity to promote the ToolBox Project by: • maintaining, updating and continuously refining the organization’s website and Facebook presence • assessing and establishing additional social media platforms, and use of video and infographics • preparing news releases, public service announcements and calendar notices for reporters and editors • developing flyers, brochures and other materials in digital and print formats for the general public, and • planning and coordinating events Tasks also may include: • creating communication plans for specific projects, and
• attending events and meetings
Qualifications: • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software • Ability to work independently and take direction
Also desirable: • Knowledge of practices related to communications, public relations and public information • Experience in use of social media for promotion and outreach
