SOJC Communications Office - Interns


The SOJC Communications Office is seeking six interns for the upcoming academic year. We are looking for students who can commit at least 12 hours per week to the internship and who can work the full academic year, or longer. Full position descriptions are attached and can also be found on our website:

The positions we’re hiring for are:

News and PR Writer (1 position available)

The SOJC News and PR Writer intern will help the SOJC Communication Office research, write and edit feature stories, press releases, newsletter and website content, and other communication materials.

Multimedia Intern (1 position available)

The Multimedia Intern will assist the SOJC’s Communications team with the creation and implementation of multimedia pieces for the SOJC’s website and social media channels. Pieces include individual interviews with faculty, administrators, and students; as well as promotional pieces about the SOJC and its centers and programs.

Photography Intern (1 position available)

The Photography intern will help to carry out projects of the SOJC Communications Office by providing a full range of visual assets for use in print and web communications.

Social Media Interns (2 positions available)

The Social Media Interns will manage all social media platforms for the SOJC Communications Office, utilizing social media marketing to engage SOJC audiences.

Communications Project Intern (1 position available)

The Communications Project Intern position is a Jack- or Jane-of-all-trades type of position that will assist in all aspects of the SOJC Communications Office as we prepare for the SOJC Centennial, which takes place in 2016. We are seeking someone with a can-do attitude who is eager to learn and tackle new assignments.
