KUSA is looking for a non-traditional multi-skilled journalist who loves sports and has a passion for telling all types of sports stories.  You must love hunting for great stories and telling them in a unique way. We want someone who finds just as much pleasure reporting on weekend warriors as covering the NFL, NBA, NHL, etc.

If your idea of different is tearing up your bracket on TV, talking louder, or throwing in some sports slang, that’s not enough.  We want someone with an opinion who isn’t afraid to share it. Someone who doesn’t want to be confined to the desk.  Are you taking a second look at your reel right now? Good.  Let’s see your best work.

You must be enthusiastic about social media and digital and be truly different from traditional sports departments across the country.  For this position, you must be able to shoot, write, edit, craft great social posts before, during and after your story and engage with people online. Your ability to  find great stories through social listening and good old fashioned hard work will make you a candidate for this position.  Great digital writing is a plus and a must.

We want someone who is truly different and extremely creative. Let’s break the mold and do something that will stand out.
