Summer Digital Merchandising Intern


Position Summary:

Complete a three, six, nine or twelve month session between or in conjunction with college semesters or quarters working as a member of the Digital Merchandising team. Support overall Merchandising team to successfully execute initiatives in the digital space, including digital promotions, assortment expansion, selling events, department priorities, website enhancements, and more. Analyze site metrics and promotional results to optimize and improve future campaigns. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the overall Digital Merchandising team to drive sales, execute promotions and onboard suppliers and new products for ecommerce
  • Support the development and execution of the promotional selling calendar to drive digital engagement and sales
  • Help manage all documentation and paperwork from suppliers and communicate directly with vendors when necessary Promotion setup
  • Pull product data and sales information
  • Create featured product lists for online selling
  • Assist in samples review of new products
  • Assist in recapping performance of a promotion or digital event
  • Help identify consumer, market, industry and global trends for new ways of meeting customer needs and driving engagement
  • Confer regularly and report progress to key stakeholders/team members through routine progress reports
  • Work collaboratively across matrix organization (i.e., merchandising departments, digital marketing, creative and digital site experience)

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
  • Ability to achieve objectives through others
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to design and present formal presentations
