Writing Internship

This fall, Eugene Daily News will be offering its first ever internship. The internship will last two months from acceptance into the EDN program and provide interns with the opportunity to write for a local news publication while gaining valuable experience in the journalism industry. Interns will compose around 16 stories during the course of their internship with EDN.

This is a writing internship. Particular areas of interest being considered are sports reporting and general news reporting.

As an intern at Eugene Daily News, you will:

Be able to apply for this internship to count as class credit

Be edited by a group of trained editors

Gain valuable experience working in the journalism industry

Gain exposure in the Eugene writing community

Write knowledgeable, accurate, and informative pieces about the pertinent stories in Eugene

Have the opportunity to be published on a local news publication’s website

Interact with other writers and hone your journalistic skills

Have fun, grow, and be a part of the Eugene Daily News team

Be able to pitch your own news stories
