Eugene Police Public Information Office Videographer

We are seeking a well-qualified, dedicated, hard-working volunteer to serve in our Public Information Office a minimum of one 4 hour shift per week for a minimum 6-month commitment. This volunteer will create video of department activities and will edit the video using video-editing software. Some experience is helpful, but we will train applicants in both shooting video and editing. Qualified applicants will have a clean driving record and be able to pass a rigorous background investigation.

Summer Ethics Fellowship in Journalism

FASPE Journalism (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics in Journalism) is a fully-funded two-week summer program that uses the conduct of journalists in Nazi Germany as a launching point for an intensive study of contemporary journalism ethics. Fellows visit Auschwitz and other sites in Germany and Poland where they consider how to apply the lessons of history to journalism’s ethical challenges.
