Starting October 1, 2013 our sports section will be expanding dramatically and plans to cover Oregon Ducks athletics, Lane Community College, Northwest Christian University, prep and much more. Sustainable City Year Program Journalism Fellows

The Sustainable Cities Initiative’s (SCI) Sustainable City Year Program (SCYP) is an internationally recognized innovative approach to higher education that consists of a yearlong partnership between the University of Oregon and a different Oregon city each year. The program matches a number of courses from across the University with needs identified by the partner city, all focusing on some aspect of sustainability. In a typical year, 400+ students in 20-30 classes from 10-12 disciplines work on 15-20 partner-directed projects, devoting 40,000+ hours of effort.
